The AG-DV1000 is a compact desktop Mini-DV VTR. It's small size makes it an ideal choice as a source VCR for a desktop Non-Linear System. An IEEE-1394 interface is built-in for high quality digital transfer without any loss.

  • The DV format uses 8-bit component digital recording at 25 Mbps, with Intra-frame5:1 compression and 4:1:1 color sampling. A 10 micron track pitch and 500 lines of resolution, provides superior picture quality, superb multi-generation capability and production flexibility. *Two 1/4" ME cassette sizes are available: Standard and Mini. The Standard size cassette will hold up to 123 minutes of information while the Mini cassette will hold up to 80 minutes of information.
  • 3-D DNR (Digital Noise Reducer) is built-in to the AG-DV1000 to help improve analog source material quality. Analog picture noise is reduced, improving the overall quality of non-digital sources.
  • Equipped with a IEEE-1394 (Firewire) digital interface for lossless transfer of digital video and audio information with other IEEE-1394 equipped devices. The single 4-pinIEEE-1394 cable can be connected to MAC or PC based NLE systems or to another VTR for degradation-free editing.
  • The AG-DV1000 has Analog Composite, Y/C, and audio inputs and outputs, making it ideal for editing from an analog source or dubbing to an analog recorder.
  • Designed exclusively for use with Mini-DV tapes by Sony JVC Panasonic Fuji & TDK it is ready to serve as the heart of a versatile digital video production system.
  • An IEEE1394 terminal (i-link/Firewire) lets you transfer high quality digital video and audio data to or from a PC.
  • Via an IEEE1394 terminal, you can perform dubbing with no quality loss with either two AG-DV1000s, an AG-DV1000 and an AG-DVC10/AG-DV200 camera/recorder or the AG-DV1000 and another DV unit.
  • It is equipped with analog input and output terminal that permit dubbing from analog to digital, or vice versa, with outstanding picture quality.
  • It handles a host of tasks, including serving as a source for non-linear editing and Internet transmission of still or moving images.
  • This digital VTR brings high levels of quality convenience and versatility to professional applications.
